Alere Toxicology Elected to Serve on EWDTS Board

19 June 2017

We are excited to announce that at the recent European Workplace Drug Testing Society (EWDTS) conference (Turin 2017) our Senior Toxicologist Peter Akrill began his tenure on the EWDTS Board.

In his role on the EWDTS Board, Peter will be able to call on his own experience and the expertise of his Alere Toxicology colleagues in contributing to the work of the EWDTS in the development of drug testing guidelines and the discussion and evaluation of new developments in workplace drug testing.

This puts Alere Toxicology at the forefront of the industry. We are able to benefit from the latest research and industry developments, as well as offer our considerable experience to ensure the development of guidelines which are as effective as possible.

Who are the EWDTS

The EWDTS are an organisation set up to harmonise drug testing practices across Europe. One of their main outputs is the European Guidelines for Workplace Drug Testing. The guidelines provide details of the recommended practices in sample collection, sample analysis and results reporting for workplace drug testing.
